Ronald G Bellar began writing in high school, but only as a hobby. He loves fiction, with an emphasis on medieval fantasy, and was inspired by such authors as Lloyd Alexander, Piers Anthony, Terry Brooks, C.S. Lewis, and especially J.R.R. Tolkien. Since 1992 he has written five novel-length stories and two short stories, but he did not consider publishing his works until recently. He lives in southeast Michigan with his wife, Justiina, and son, Ronnie.
He has a bachelor's degree in automated manufacturing, but his love for numbers led him to a life of tax accounting. He's a big fan of football, baseball, hockey, and basketball, and this passion led him to coach football beginning in 1990. After 31 years he retired from coaching, but his love for sports lives on. With all the spare time he now finds at his disposal, he plans to continue publishing his works, as well as write several more books.
